Structure Optimazation of Loader Bucket Based on FEM

The bucket is an important part of the loader, owing to its complex shape and structure, there is great blindness in the design of the traditional analogy and experience. The structure of designed product is not entirely reasonable and it is difficult to calculate the stress distribution. The solid model of the bucket is made with Pro/E and imported into ANSYS, and then Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of bucket is completed with ANSYS. The thickness of the bucket was optimized and met the demand of function and strength, and it is worthwhile for design and improvement of the bucket and other complex structure.
