Algorithm Research Based on Multi-point Locating for Compliant Part

In order to meet the increasing need of industry, a method based on multi-point reconfigurable locating scheme for manufacture of compliant part is proposed. Based on N-2-1 locating scheme, the process of compliant part locating is introduced in details. The oriented bounding box (OBB) theory is used to make decision of parameters of coordination transformation matrix. The surface fitted by end effectors of locators is obtained through the method of Fitness of Offset Surface (FOS). Simulation shows that algorithm for multi-point reconfigurable locating method is feasible and can effectively solve the problem occurred in the process of compliant part locating.
