Nonlinear FEA on Contact Pressure Distribution of Rubber Seal with MSC.Marc
This paper aims to study the contact pressure of rubber seal under the various lubricant pressures between groove and seal. A framework to implement the rubber like material model is established within the general-purpose finite element program. Various types of strain energy functions were discussed and contact pressure distribution of rubber seal are analyzed, which can provides a practical tool to evaluate the contact behavior for the seal for designers.
