Hip joint prosthesis design based on tomography data and finite element analysis
The hip joint is one of the most important parts of human body. This work reconstructs the patient hip joint through tomography images data using reverse engineering. The hip joint prosthesis should be customizing based on patient hip biological make-up. Before manufacture, the prosthesis should be simulating assembled in the workstation and analyzed use finite element software. The shape and material of prosthesis should be optimized based on results of analysis. Finally, the prosthesis fit for patient can be confirmed after all proceeding.
