Application of VR on Fire of Hazardous Chemicals Tank Farm
Based on the surface texture of equipment, facilities and terrain data of hazardous chemicals tank farm, the 3D software MultiGen Creator was used to create the models of tanks and auxiliaries, fire-fighting equipments, environmental landscape (trees and grass et al).Those models were integrated into model base, and the external reference was used to create the oil and liquid petroleum gas tank farm. The OSG and Delta 3D software render the model on the process of scene walkthrough. The flame and smoke movement were simulated by particle system, and the wind and buoyancy were involved into simulation. This study can provide a new method to prevent and control fire on tank farm.
