Hilbert-Huang Transform of Velocity Fluctuation in the KSM
Hilbert-Huang transformation (HHT) is a new approach to deal with non-linear and non-stationary signals. In this paper, Hilbert-Huang transform is applied to extract the distribution of frequency and energy of velocity fluctuation in the Kenics static mixer (KSM). The results showed that the major energy of KSM velocity fluctuation signals concentrates on lowfrequency stage. With the Reynolds number increasing, the energy transfers from the low-frequency to medium-high frequency.
