An Opinion Dynamics Model with Community Structure
Community structure is another important feature besides small world and scare free property of complex networks. An opinion formation model with continuous opinions and discrete actions (CODA) on substrate with community structure was established. After numerical simulation using Multi-Agent method we find that, enhancing interconnectivity can foster trust, facilitate opinion transfer and sharing, promote the convergence of actions in different communities, weaken extremists, and be propitious to the spreading of official statement. The content contributes to understanding the influence of community structure on opinion formation.
