Study of Some Specific Issues in Development of Measure and Control System Based on the xPC Target
A measure and control system (MCS) was developed based on xPC Target toolbox in MATLAB for automotive electric power steering system, and steering wheel angle was measured with an incremental photoelectric encoder and a PCL-812PG board. It is desirable to output two states within one step, but such function is limited by the built-in xPC Target blocks due to cross-block checking and cross-block coupling. In this paper, such issues were examined and cross-block checking was removed under the specific circumstance. New driver for digital output of the PCL-812PG board was developed which enabled different blocks of the same driver to share information with extern type variable. New blocks were established with the new driver, and priorities were assigned to the blocks which determined the execution priority of the blocks in the model. Tests were conducted, and blocks without cross-block checking and cross-block coupling could run correctly, which indicates the proposed methods are effective.
