Analysis of Handling Stability about A Four-wheel ATV Based on Root Locus Method
The root locus method is a commonly analysis method used in control theory research. Handling stability is important characteristics of vehicle. The paper studied steering characteristics of vehicle using root locus method and Matlab software and analyzed handling stability of a four-wheel ATV (all terrain vehicle). We can effectively estimate the steering movement of the dynamic process, also can easily determine whether or not the vehicle steering stability. The results show that root locus method can be effectively applied research of vehicle stability and the four-wheel ATV studied is stable performance during steering.
