Collision Between a Falling-Down Museum Artwork and Floor By Simulation
In order to protect museum display artworks,an artwork is taken as an example to study its inner force as well as motion status after it falls down and collides with the floor.Based on theoretical equations, siniulation model for both artwork and floor is built.By simulation mises stress distribution as well as displacement, velocity and acceleration response curves for both artwork and floor are obtained. Results show that after the artwork falls down and collides with floor, peak value of its mises stress increase quickly and then reaches maximum value when it completely compresses the floor;Peak values of displacement, velocity and acceleration for the artwork occur at the first time of collision; When parameters of artwork mass, rigidity values of spring support as well as falling height vary, peak acceleration values for the artwork vary little, while for the floor vary much.
