Research on Technology of Smart Grid

Smart grid becomes the hot topic concerning future power grid development trend, home and abroad in recent years.In this paper the background, concept, major characteristics, core technologies are described.According to the key technologies of smart grid,which include a strong and flexible network topology, integrated communication system, fast simulation and modeling, advanced metering infrastructure, demand side management, distributed generation integration,advanced distribution automation and power electronic equipments, the research of smart grid is analyzed in three aspects consisting of distributed energy resource, fast simulation and decision-making techniques. In the end, some views of developing in terms of core technologies are presented.
