Multidisciplinary View-Modeling of Complex Product in Different MDO Stage
Application of multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) in complex product design will firstly lace the difficulty of multidisciplinary decomposition. And then, how to ensure consistency in multiple disciplines concurrent design is another problem too. Aim at the difficult issues mentioned above, a primary modeling technique is put forward. Firstly, the multidisciplinary partition of product is formed based on function analysis of structural components. Secondly, the structural master model with variable complexity in different design phase is defined and built up sequentially. In product detailed design, oriented by the master model with typical dimension, each discipline view-model can be constructed using different CAE tools concurrently. Finally, CAD supporting techniques with consistency assurance system of multidisciplinary view-models are put forward, and (hen, collaborative operating strategics and optimization of multiple view-models can be realized certainly based on the integration of optimization method and CAD/CAE technologies. Also, the modeling technique is applied to car-body shape design, which promotes the design level effectively. Product information is really shared between disciplines and models can be alternated dynamically in design process.
