Laser scanning based diagonal of the deployed region localization scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks

we formally describe, simulate and evaluate a novel localization algorithm, called laser-scan in this paper. The scheme uses an assistant-aware mobile device with the band of laser scanning and sends identity signal to obtain the locations of sensor nodes based the diagonal of the deployed region movement. We demonstrate that a high accuracy in localization can be achieved without the aid of expensive hardware on the sensor nodes, as required by other localization systems. The experiment shows that the schemes localization precision arrives to sub-meter and saves energy.
