Vibration Control for Offshore Platforms under Wave and Current
This paper studies the vibration control of jacket-type offshore platforms. A feedforward and feedback optimal controller (FFOC) is developed. The FFOC is proved to be existent and unique. In the design of FFOC, we consider the irregular wave and current forces, and the displacement and velocity of structure. The feasibility and effectiveness of the presented control law is demonstrated by a numerical example of a jacket-type offshore structure.
