New Optimized Fault Tree Analysis Method and Its Application

In traditional fault tree analysis, the failure probability and structure importance of system failure cant completely take the whole components and conditions into account to calculate system reliability. The sorting order of basic events importance in fault tree may be different when we sensitively used the formulae of structure importance, probability importance and critical importance. To overcome this shortcoming the integrated importance is put forward by a new arithmetic to replace conventional single importance analysis method in this paper. The new parameter illuminates the effect of the basic events on top event from the point of fault tree structure and basic events probability.
