Construction Risk Assessment for Shiziyang Tunnel of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hongkong Passenger Special Line
Shiziyang Tunnel of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hongkong passenger special line is a super-long under-water shield tunnel under construction in China. Aiming at assessing its giant construction risk, this paper proposes a basic principle to filter and merge its risk factors and determines major objects for analysis based on the reconnaissance information, accident statistics, and the project analogy. They are basement liquefaction or softsoil collapse, building pit jitter, shield mechanical failure, operation failure, construction environment, construction of cross canal, bump room in river, and equipment cave depot. Classification of risk levels is also provided on the basis of accident survey and project analogy. Finally, risk analyses are given based on the survey information and expertsexperiences, and risk assessment is also provided by using the risk matrix. The results are of great significance to decide counter measures and to reduce risk loss.
