Research and Design of Coal Miner Monitoring System Based on RFID Technology
The coal mine disaster happens more and more frequently, any disaster caused by the effusing water or gas explosion etc. will imperil the miners lives, however there is little information about the underground miners which can be used for searching and rescuing them when a disaster happens. The paper develops a new coal miner monitoring system based on radio frequency identification (RFID for short) technology to track and record the miners position, designs the circuit of RF card with NRF2401, the circuit of reader power with LM723, the interface of CAN bus communication with PCA82C250/251, expatiates on the software flow diagram of procedure both in RF card controller ATM89S52 and the reader controller LPC2478, uses the binary tree arithmetic and 2 KB buffer cache to solve the collision and jam during the period of RF communication and CAN communication. The system monitoring software on the ground industrial computer will deal with all the miners information, so the position of miners at present time or any appointed time can be inquired and the route of miners or the statistic of going-down times in today or any appointed day also can be inquired. The system greatly improves the efficiency of management, and plays an important part in the miners daily life, especially in case of a disaster.
