Combustion Characteristics of Commercial Exterior Insulation Materials under Cone-radiation Condition
The combustibility of a set of commercial exterior insulation materials commonly used in China was tested by cone calorimeter (ASTM E1354/ISO5660). The materials included were phosphorus and halogencontaining Rigid Polyurethane (PU), non-flameretarded Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), halogencontaining EPS and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS). The combustion characteristics such as heat release rate, effective heat of combustion, mass loss rate and smoke evolution at an external heat flux of 35 kW/m2 were obtained during the cone calorimeter tests.
