Effect of Temperature on Strength of PPS Filter Used in Flue Gas Dust Collection

PPS filter media is one of the best available filter media for high temperature flue gas dust collection; study of high temperature characteristics of it has important significance to improve filter performance. In this paper, two different experimental methods are adapted to study the strength of PPS needled felt filter under high temperature. The results show the test methods had great impact on the test result of filter properties under high temperature. The experimental data from HTSTS (High Temperature Strength Test System) show that with temperature increased, the breaking strength of PPS Needle Felt Filter Media has a downward trend and elongation has a upward trend. After treated with appropriate measures, the high temperature performance of filter can effectively improved.
