Safety Test and Evaluation of High-Blast Power Flux Materials

Based on the essential process of energy releasing of energetic materials, a new term, blast power flux, were defined, and the range of interrelated numerical value was ascertained. Hereby a new energetic composite with high density (1.9gcm-3), high detonation velocity (around 8000ms-1) and high explosive heat (about 8000 Jg-1) was designed, and then was prepared. A succession of tests prescribed in GJB 772A-97 criterion were conducted, the results of tests was consistent with those of numeration, viz. the value of friction sensitivity and impact sensitivity is zero respectively, the static sensitivity value is 6.48 kV, 640mJ, and the 5s explosion temperature is 297 ℃. In this paper, we discussed the mechanism of reduced sensitivity, which may help to develop new energetic material.
