Mechanism and Influence Analysis on Explosion of Molten Aluminum Meeting Water
The mechanism of the explosion when molten aluminum meets water is studied in this paper. Its processes include water vapor explosion and explosion caused by the reaction of aluminum and water. The total energy of the explosion when molten aluminum meets water and the blast overpressure at different distances from the explosion source can be calculated according the analysis. On the basis of the experimental and theoretical analysis, the shock wave impact of the explosion when molten aluminum meets water and the explosion district are determined in this paper. The results are accord with the actual situation. The result of this paper plays a guiding role in the establishing of molten aluminum safety production standards and accidents prevention and effective measures.
