Correlation Analysis among Adiabatic Exothermic Characteristic Parameters

Statistical package for the social science was used to analyze the correlation among characteristic parameters determined with accelerating rate calorimeter. The results indicate that final exothermic temperature, adiabatic temperature rise, temperature at maximum rate, maximum pressure and maximum pressure per unit are related to more parameters, while onset temperature, maximum selfheat rate, time to maximum rate and maximum pressure rise rate are related to less. Three independent combinations of the parameters were obtained based on their relationship. Parameters of each combination are irrelated with each other and contain information of all characteristic parameters. Parameters of three assemblages are: (1) onset temperature, maximum selfheat rate, time to maximum rate and maximum pressure per unit; (2) onset temperature, adiabatic temperature rise and maximum pressure rise rate; (3) onset temperature, time to maximum rate and maximum pressure.
