Study on the Effects of the Wavelet Transform-based Air Compartment on the Decay Pattern of Underwater Explosion Signals

In order to reduce damages of underwater explosion signals on protected objects in the water, a method that the air compartment decays underwater explosion signals is put forward. In order to verify the decaying effects of the air compartment on underwater explosion signals, a model experiment with a small amount of explosives is carried out. By adopting Wavelet Transform to study underwater explosion signals, the study found that the air compartment has a good decaying effect on pressure peaks of shock waves at each frequency band and shock waves energies, and it can play a role in decaying pressure peaks of shock waves and shock waves energies. The air compartment has a certain decaying role in decaying pressure peaks of bubble pulses at each frequency band and bubble pulses energies, it more decays pressure peaks and energies of bubble pulses at the first frequency band, and it has a better decaying effect at the first frequency band. Under the influence of the air compartment, the decay of shock waves energies mainly concentrates in middle and high frequency bands; the decay of bubble pulses energies mainly concentrates in low frequency bands. The study results show that the air compartment has an obvious effect on decaying underwater explosion signals and can play a significant role in terms of underwater security and protection.
