Experimental Investigation into Impact Properties of Confining Pressure Rock

In order to study the mechanical properties of limestone and confining pressure limestone subjected to impact loading, stress-time curves were measured by one-stage light-gas gun experimental device in different impact velocity. Lagrange analysis method was used to process the stress-time curves, the distributions of mechanical parameters against time and space in the flow field were obtained and then the stress-strain test curves were acquired. On this base, the impact response properties of limestone and confining pressure limestone had been analyzed. The experimental results show that there are significant enhance on stiffness, ductility and resistance of limestone under impact loading for the adding of confining pressure load.
