Characteristics and Cross-Coupling Laws of Gas Explosion Accidents in Coal Mines
The emission and accumulation of gas and fire source is the key of gas explosion in coal mine. Characteristics of gas explosion accidents were analyzed: the gas accumulation was classified into seven categories, and the fire source was classified into five styles, and the original site of gas explosion was classified into six types. According to the 563 gas explosion accidents from 1988 to 2008, the cross-coupling characteristics and laws were analyzed. The results show that: the ventilation problems resulting in the gas accumulation account for 90.6%; the accidents detonated by the electric spark and blasting flame account for 78.6%; the accidents origin from the mining work face and heading face and tunnel account for 69.4%; the ones occurred in working face or heading face or tunnel and caused by the gas accumulation resulted from the ventilation problems account for 81.3%; the ones detonated by the electric spark or blasting flame and the gas accumulated by the ventilation problems account for 72.8%; the ones origin from the mining working face or heading face or tunnel and detonated by the electric spark account for 73.2%. The key of prevention and control of the gas explosion is to conscientiously strengthen the ventilation management and the electrical management, and to strictly implement the blasting operations and procedures.
