Studies on the Mechanism of Mining Fault Activation and Method of Safe Protecting Coal Pillar Design below the Village
Based on the study of mining and geological background of Pubai mining area and combined with test-in-place and finite element analysis, this paper analyze the mechanism of mining fault activation by 22515 working face and lead ZhangPo village which is far away from mining subsidence area to appeared land subsidence paralleled to the fault. Simulate protecting coal pillar design for 17 509 working face by FLAC3D. The results show that when the horizontal distance of stop line to the fault is 120 m, mining has little effect on the fault, not induced the fault activation. Then give the formulas for calculating minimum safety pillar of great fault below the village, and confirm that the calculation method is safe and reliable by mining and surface observations. This paper gives a basis for protecting coal pillar design in Pubai mining area.
