Study of Gas Migration in Mechanized Mining Gob

There are multiple sources of gas emission in mechanized mining gob. Affected by multiple factors, the gas migration process is very complex, leads to the gas content exceeded in the upper corner, and result in the gas content exceededs in the face back airflow, or even lead to the airway gas content exceeded in the total back airflow, which seriously threats to coal mine safety in production. Based on research results of the mined-out area gas transportation, this paper numerically simulates gob gas distribution law in a certain companys 2328 fully mechanized coal mining face by use of FLUENT software, and puts forward the upper corner gas control methods.
