Distribution Laws of Abutment Pressure around Coal Faces
To reveal the laws of abutment pressure around coal faces under each coal seam situation and mining condition, bounded by the pressure angle of the strength properties of the overlying rock, the fully moving area was defined and the computational mechanics model was established. According to the four primary factors (mining depth, pressure angle, strength of coal and thickness of coal seam ) and width of coal pillar, 24 numerical-simulation projects are taken out. By fitting and analyses of the results of numerical simulation, 3 characteristic parameters that can describe the distribution of abutment pressure were gained computation then a calculation method was put forward to determine the abutment pressure around the goaf or in the coal block. The comparison between the calculated value and the measured value of abutment pressure for 43up07 working face in Dongtan Mine proves that the calculation method is accurate and reliable.
