Evaluation Methods of Bridge Response to Earthquake
This study is intended to evaluate the seismic response of the bridge under the condition of different analytical models. In these models, the bridge structure is assumed performing in elastic range under the precondition of the adopting ground motion. The passing train effect on the bridge during earthquake is considered and the train car model idealized as multi mass rigid bodies connecting by spring damper dynamic system is established. The bridge is modeled with three-dimensional finite elements. The dynamic responses of the bridge and the trains subjecting to typical earthquake waves are simulated and evaluated. Some useful conclusions are obtained based on the analytical results.
