A Reliability Assessment Method for Complex System Based on Information Conversion and Fusion Technologies
A system reliability assessment method for complex system has been established. It employs information conversion and fusion technologies while doing data processing for calculating the value of system reliability at a confidence level. The former technology is used to convert continuously distributed information into success-failure data and then calculate the equivalent test information which is considered as prior information using the converted success-failure data. The latter technology, based on a Bayesian method with mixed Beta distribution, is to synthesize the equivalent test information and field test data into so called posteriori information. The system reliability assessment method has advantages of being able to use related information of units for all levels in the complex system. The validity of this method has been proved through a simulation example.
