Study on Camber Deformation and Safety Countermeasures of Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line

32 m-span simply supported structure is widely used in high-speed railway PC box girder, the creep camber of beam is particularly important in the design and construction. If the forecast for the creep deformation are not accurate, it would result in excessive deflection of beam in the construction phase and operational phases and, furthermore, badly affect the bridges security and traffic safety. For solving the camber deformation problems of 32 m PC box girder in Shanghai-Hang Zhou Line, seven representative beams were monitored and the observations were analyzed. Combining with prediction formulas in four criterions at home and abroad, MIDAS/Civil program was adopted to calculate the creep coefficient and then compared the calculated result with the measured one. A new modified creep prediction model was built up according to the creep development law of Shanghai-Hang Zhou Line 32 m PC box girder. Finally, the security measures were put forward to prevent and cure the excessive camber for the benefit of the bridge safety.
