Monitoring of Compression Anchors in Rock Slope Stabilization
A reinforcement system combining compression anchors and concrete beams is used to stabilize the slope with 45 m in height. 12 monitors are installed in order to record the change of axial force of the selected anchors. Based the monitoring data, the comparison of anchor forces between lock-off and after 120 days is present. The result shows that the most anchor axial forces are under design load, which is concluded that the anchors are safe. Based on the comparison of the anchor force between before rain and after rain, it is concluded that all anchor loads increase during the rain period. Most increase rates of anchor force are from 10% to 20%, while the maximal rate exceeds 50%.
