Parametric Study on Stability of Unsaturated Homogeneous Soil Slope under Rainfall
Rainfall-induced slope failure is common in the tropical regions. In this paper, different soil properties, slope geometry (slope height and slope angle), initial water table location, and rainfall intensity were used to find the effect of each factor to slope stability. From the study, soil properties and rainfall intensity were found to be the main factors to the slope stability and slope geometry and initial water table location were the secondary factors. It also can be concluded that the poor drainage soil slope should be paid more attention to the antecedent rainfall.
