Application of Integrated Geology Prediction Technologies for Preventing Geo-Hazards in Tunnel Construction in Karst District

Because of the frequent encountering of serious geohazards such as karst caves, sudden water and collapse, pre-construction geology forecast is rather essential. Through analyzing the geological method, GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar), seismic wave reflection method (focus on TSP), infrared water detector and horizontal pre-drilling which are used as tunnel prediction methods in Daguangnan Express Way Project, the suggestions for construction are put forwards towards the geological condition of karst. The practicability of the prediction system including the methods mentioned above is studied in accordance with the in-situ excavation situation, which can help guide the construction effectively.
