Application of Regression Analysis on Fatal Accidents in Coal Enterprises
Any accident may be caused either by unsafe condition or by unsafe behavior or by both. Based on the data of the death and its relative factors between 1998 and 2005 in a coal enterprises in China, two significant factors was obtained by using stepwise regression analysis with SPSS(Statistical Product and Service Solutions), and they are the times of operation against rules and the rate of over-fulfill. Hence the binary linear regression equation of deaths is established and the regression equation is reasonable. The result indicates it is operation against rules that the critical factor leads to deaths in coal enterprises.
