Strengthen Safety Culture in Construction Firms by Establishing Civilized Construction Sites

Construction industry is one of the most hazardous industries in China. Construction safety records are very poor in China measured by international standards. Construction firms are working hard to improve construction safety and more and more attentions are paid to construction safety culture. The basic concepts about construction safety culture are introduced in this paper. The framework and model of safety culture in construction firms are proposed. And as an important way to strengthen safety culture in construction firms, how to establish civilized construction sites is discussed in this paper. The result will help to improve the safety management for construction firms and further improve the harmony between the construction activities and human-being.
