A New Methodology of Safety Management System Expressed by Graph Theory (SMSGTE) and Its Application

A new methodology and its operation procedures that safety management system is expressed by graph theory were invented. Taking the China work safety supervision system as an example and depending upon the knowledge of graph theory, the reflecting aspects between the work safety supervision models and the graph theory models were searched step by step. Then, the tree and partial, bipartite graph and network as well as the operational graphics etc. were used to express the vertical structure of the work safety supervision agency, the horizontal management of agency and the content of grading control separately. At last, two meaningful expressions were selected and summarized into two methods: the maximum flow of control and operational planning of monitoring. The research result provides a valuable reference for optimizing the safety supervision system. Since the graph theory has set many logic regulations and can conduct computation, its application in safety management system is very significant to accelerate the development of safety management system toward the quantity direction.
