Study on Safety Technology of Shutdown and Restart Process for Waxy and High Viscosity Oil Transportation Pipeline
In view of the shutdown process of heated waxy and high viscosity oil transportation pipeline, the oil, pipeline wall, insulating layer, semi-infinite soil and air environment are selected as research objectives to build the pipelines unsteady heat transfer model. In order to reduce the calculation amount, the conformal transformation is used to transform the semi-infinite region into finite region and then difference method is adapted to analyze the oil temperature variation with time along the pipeline after shutdown. In view of the restart process of heated oil transportation pipeline after shutdown, the pipelines hydraulic transient model is built and the method of characteristic is used to solve the model, so that the hydraulic parameters of restart process after different shutdown lasting time can be analyzed. Based on the previous study, the shutdown and restart simulation software for heated waxy and high viscosity oil transportation pipeline is developed. Finally, the waxy and high viscosity oil temperature dropping after shutdown and hydraulic transient conditions of restart are studied. Besides, the safety shutdown time is also obtained.
