A Research on the Fatigue Property of Laser Butt Welding of TA15 Titanium Sheet
The laser beam welding (LBM) is a welding technology with the properties of high energy density and welding speed. LBM technology of titanium alloy was used in the structures of modern fighters. Assumed importance for many applications, the fatigue behavior of welded joints in titanium alloys has not received attention. On the basis of the processing of the fatigue test results of the standard specimens, base plate specimens and LBM specimens made of TA15 titanium sheet, the mean equivalent theoretical stress concentration coefficient (ETSCC) and the reliable ETSCC were determined by ETSCC method in this paper. Then the S-N and p-S-N curves for the welded specimens were established. Finally, the influence analysis conclusion and the engineering application advice were presented in this paper.
