Research on NDT of Laser Rapid Formed Titanium Alloy Structures

The study showed that the ill bonding is the main defects in the structures, and the ill bonding tended to be irregular and generally occurred between the layers and the line boundaries. Experimental studies have shown that, the external defects of Laser Rapid Forming titanium structural parts can use fluorescent penetrant testing techniques and internal defects can choose ultrasonic testing or X-ray detection technology, for different structural parts should choose a suitable ultrasonic incident direction or X-ray transillumination direction.
