Costume Design and Animation Synthesis for Personalized Avatars
Virtual humans or avatars are three-dimensional (3D) solid models, generated by computers. They are realistic and vivid forms having motion control capabilities. Human communication consists of more than words, and virtual human body movements are also a kind of communication way. In this paper, we propose a method of costume designing and animation synthesis for personalized avatars. A lot of sensors are used to design avatar appearance and movements. We focus on making the finger joints to let the fingers more flexible by the use of sensors. We aim to rotate all the body joints to make the virtual human achieve some movements. In addition, we also make several kinds of national costumes for our virtual humans such as the Tibetan clothes and the Wa clothes.
