Numerical Simulation of Overall Stability of Concrete Filled Steel Tube Arch Bridge
With a practical project, the finite element model of a steel arch bridge was established; the linear elastic and geometric nonlinear analysis was discussed by numerical method, indicating the bridge has more reliable buckling stability. Instability modes of the structure are all vertical arch rib plane instability, indicating that the lateral rigidity of arch rib is weaker than tie beam. Some valuable conclusions are obtained, which were instructive to the similar projects in the future.
