A Location-aware Ultra-wideband based on Dynamic Source Routing protocol
Ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) is a prospective radio technology for wireless networks. As being approval by FCC, UWB radio has received much attention. In this paper, we introduce the architecture of Ultra-Wideband Wireless Sensor Networks(UWB WSN) and a Location-aware Ultra-wideband based on Dynamic Source Routing protocol (LUDSR) for a UWB WSN. In our routing protocol, we let each node gather location information and find routing paths in a distributed way. The main contribution of this work is to integrate an algorithm for exchanging relative location information without GPS into our location-aware routing protocol, LUDSR. In addition, we observe that the mobility strongly affects the information exchange according to the velocity of the mobile device, referred as moving effect, and propose two routing schemes, restricted range flooding and mobility prediction, for enhancing the routing performance.
