Numerical analysis of non -smooth surface wear process on bionic bit
The non-smooth surface shape was generated on the bionic bits crown while the bionic bit was using. For selecting an optimal non-smooth ratio, the wear model of non-smooth surface was established, then the wear process was simulated by the finite element method. The results indicates that the equivalent stress of rock was increased by 34%, and the contact pressure of bionic bit was increased by 8.8%, and the contact friction was reduced by 61.4%; and the value of non-smooth ratio must be limited in a range, if not, the efficiency and life of bionic bit cant be improved. In addition, the numerical analysis can guide the selection of non-smooth ratio to manufacture the bionic bit.
