A Topology Maintenance mechanism for the Wireless Sensor Networks
A wireless sensor network consists of a huge number of sensor nodes with limited battery power, which are deployed over a certain geographical area for monitoring the activities of the targets and reporting the information to the sink node. Now that the energy supplying is limited and cannot be replaced freely, the network must minimize the energy consumption in order to prolong the span of the network. In this paper, we propose a mechanism for maintaining the topology architecture with the transmission power controled networks system model. In the mechanism, we consider the energy balance as a critical factor and our starting point. Simulation results attest that this mechanism has an excellent performance in energy balance and extending the network lifetime.
