Water Breakthrough Performance and Well Type Optimization of Fractured Horizontal Wells in Low Permeability Reservoir
Based on streamline simulation, water breakthrough of fractured horizontal wells is analyzed, and a new fractured horizontal well is proposed. Its adaptability in different well patterns is evaluated from the aspects of productivity, oil recovery, water cut and swept area. The results show that for the horizontal wells with equal fracture length, the water breakthrough time of edge fractures is earlier and the water cut rises rapidly. Both the new and conventional well types in the staggered well pattern have almost the same development But in the diamond and rectangle well patterns, the new well type B can expand relative swept area and improve oil recovery with significant reduction of water cut 30-year relative swept area and recovery of the two well patterns are increased by 6% (10%) and 0.96% (1.6%) respectively, and the final recovery (water cut = 95%) is enhanced by 1.05% andl.5%.
