Study on the Morphology and Damping Properties of the Organic Hybrids of Chlorinated Polyethylene and Hindered Phenol
In this article, the miscibility, intermolecular interaction and damping properties of hybrids consisting of 2-methylene-bis-(4-m-ethyl-6-cyc ohexyl-phenol) (ZKF) and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) have been investigated by DSC,FTIR and DMA. The results of DSC displayed that the ZKF and CPE were miscible in the amorphous state. The analysis of Kwei equation implied that there was a strong intermolecular interaction between ZKF and CPE. A small molecule ZKF may form two hydrogen bonds with two CPE chains at the same time, and the hydrogen bonding network was existed in the hybrids. The energy dissipation due to dissociation of the intermolecular hydrogen-bond network was larger than that of due to general friction between polymer chains, the loss peak increased dramatically and the position of the loss peak shifted high temperature region.
