Study on Forming Technology and Mechanical Properties of Biodegradable Hemp Fiber/ Polylactic Acid Composites

Fully biodegradable,environment-friendly,hemp fiber/polylactic acid green composites were successfully fabricated using blend mastication and characterized for its tensile,bending and impact mechanical properties. The optimized processing conditions were concluded through a lot of experiments(the detailed experiments were elided in this paper): PLA mass fraction 60%,Mastication time 7min,Mastication temperature 190°G,Heat pressing pressure 15Mpa,Heat pressing temperature 185℃,Heat pressing time 10min. The mechanical properties were good under this condition. The hemp fiber/PLA composites may be used as green composites for certain indoor applications.
