Computer Evaluation System of Woven Fabric Smoothness Based on 2D Wavelet Transform
Fabric appearance is always considered to be one of the most important aspects of fabric quality. In this paper,two-dimensional wavelet transform is used to analyze woven fabric smoothness characteristics like wrinkle. Firstly,fabric image is pretreated and decomposed by wavelet transform;from which the high frequency information is extracted. Secondly,four kinds of wrinkle feature parameters are applied to calculate the feature values of fabric wrinkles with different AATCC templates. Finally,smoothness grade of different types of fabrics were evaluated according to this result by using minimum distance classification. For describing the assessment result quantitatively,the correlation coefficient is calculated between objective assessment and subjective assessment to validate the feasibility of this method. A high correlation of 0.9117 was obtained indicating the usefulness of the wavelet transform for wrinkle evaluation.
