The Study on Comprehensive Comfort Property of Garment with Knitted Underwear Fabrics during Exercise
Comfort is one of the most important attributes demanded by consumers during exercise. It reflects the psychological feeling of a wearer, featured by three latent independent sensory factors: thermal-wet comfort and tactile comfort. The aim of this paper is to presents a detailed discussion of knitted underwear fabrics in garment to achieve maximum comprehensive comfort during exercise. The 6 T-shirts made of different kinds of fibers was investigated in wear trials in a standard environmental chamber. The experimental results show that the comfort of the 6 kinds of T-shirt is varied due to the fiber types, which mainly influence the heat and moisture transfer during exercise. The relationship between the feelings of thermal, moisture and tightness are also discussed in this paper. Based on the experimental results,a predictable model of comprehensive comfort during exercise is developed using mainly sensory factors, which is proved valid in comparison wear trials.
